Provolone
« on: February 06, 2007, 12:39:38 PM »
So, after months of talking about it, today we finally made it to the Italian deli a couple blocks away and guess what.....they have provolone cheese!!! When I asked him if that was provolone he immediately asked me where I was from.  My husband had never heard of it before so I guess it really is not common here.  I just wanted to let those North London peeps where they can get it.  The deli is called La Bottega and it's on Southgate High Street.  I think I'm going back there soon!

I found some in Cambridge too.  It is so good, but expensive here.

My local Sainsburys has sold it for a couple of years - don't know if they all do though.

Our local Sainsburys used to sell it as well, but I haven't seen it for a year or so now.
