Careful!
I've been told off in the past for pointing out the funny side of the typo errors of our fellow esteemed posters!  ::)

No! Really? I thought we were all able to laugh at ourselves here once in a while! Am I wrong??

Surely that's breaking some law regarding protected and endangered species!!  :P ;)

I just glanced at this the first time I saw it and I thought you were making a cheeky comment about rubbing spices on loins for 8 hours. Then I looked again and realized the typo. Who here needs to get their mind out of the gutter???  [smiley=smoking.gif]

Raises hand - I like to pull pork!  (Great with Gates & Sons BBQ sauce!) ;D

My husband made an awesome pork stir-fry last night, Thai style -- not sure of the exact recipe but it had spring onion, fresh ginger, garlic, hot peppers, nam pla, lime juice, basil & cashews (among other things I'm sure) over plain fried rice.

2 recipes, both YUM!

Smothered Pork Chops

2 pork chops, spread a bit of French's yellow mustard on one side, sprinkle with flour and black pepper. Place flour-side down in hot frying pan  - no oil needed. Fry until brown. While frying first side, repeat top side with mustard, flour and pepper. Turn and fry second side.

Once both sides are brown, open up a can of Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup (yes, really!!). Pour over chops, add a bit of water. Don't salt as the soup is quite salty. Simmer about 15 mninutes until chops are done thru. We usually serve with succotash.

I know the soup sounds weird, but this is seriously yummy. My DH was completely terrified of this when I described it to him but it's now one of his all-time favorite recipes.

BTW, you do need the American Campbells soup. It has to be condensded.

Ground Pork Stir Fry

1 pound ground (minced) pork. Gently fry in a skillet with 2 cloves chopped garlic and about a 1/2 inch chopped ginger. Meanwhile, cook 1 cup white rice per pack directions. When rice is done, mix with the pork and add soy sauce to taste. When meat is browned and mixed with rice and soy sauce, add 1 pack of stir fry veggies of your choice, or make up your own. We like shredded carrot, green cabbage, bean sprouts, and water chestnuts. Finish off with chopped  green onions. Serve over a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce. Again ,this sounds odd but works really well. We keep the bottle of soy sauce to add more to taste. You can also spice this up with chillies or more asian spices.

For leftover pork, the best sandwiches: White bread, mayo & Lawry's seasoned salt

Or just chop it up, string it out, whatever - mix & heat with BBQ sauce & serve on some kind of sandwich roll.

With leftover roast pork, make a pig sandwich. String it out, add a bit of smoky paprika and serve it on big soft white rolls with sugar and vinegar based coleslaw (not mayo based) as a topping. You can splash on a tiny bit of barbecue sauce if you insist. Must be accompanied by greasy fries and sweetened iced tea. Ah, Memphis. Miss pig sandwiches...although it's been so long since I ate meat, I thoroughly enjoy the seitan version of same!
