(blueberry pecan is my speciality!)
Oh god Im starving now!! That sounds like a fantastic combination. What do you do just add blueberries and pecans to the batter? anything else added? Fresh blueberries or tinned?

tinned?!?! :o  :-X

Yep, just toss 'em in!  Hence the even higher need for keeping an eye on them while they're in the pan...harder to gauge they're 'doneness' with berries in them!
But oh SO GOOD when done right!!

I haven't made the effort to find buttermilk here to make them with; so no, I don't add anything extra (I do the batter from scratch - basic flour, milk, baking soda/powder?  can't remember right now, sugar, etc., then toss in whatever I'm in the mood for...but always fresh! ;))

best way for blueberry (or anything for that matter -  chocolate chips?)  is to not put the additions into the batter.  Pour about half the amount for one pancake onto the pan,add the berries or chips onto the pancake, then pout the other half of the batter on top.  That way, you can control the amount of additions in each pancake and the berries don't sit on top of the batter and then burn when you flip it over.

It takes longer, but so worth it!

What's wrong with you guys?  If you're not sure whether to make English pancakes or American ones...surely the solution is obvious???

Make both!!!  ;D

An entirely likely outcome, Vicky!

I would say so; mix the eggs and milk separately and add/mix the peanut butter into that.  Then mix it into the dry ingredients.

Hmmm, personally I'm not a huge peanut butter and chocolate fan, but if I were to try it, I might VERY gently warm the peanut butter first so it's easier to work into the batter.

I really like Ten grain sourdough pancakes, i use to have them at a restaurant called the Good Earth.  Too bad the chain closed, the food was wonderful.
