got my multi-region DVD player!
« on: February 22, 2007, 06:25:55 PM »
I know this isn't such a big deal, but I'm excited that I got my DVD player this week.  I've had about 80 of my DVD's sitting in the living room unable to play them for a while now.  It makes you a little crazy when you think of something fun and say, "oh, I like that.  We could watch it if my DVD's worked here."

I had to look up the code on Amazon to make the regions change, but I'm excited that I was able to do it.  Isn't it nice to have your own movies back, especially if you can't quite stomach most British TV and the few good shows you already saw last year in the states.

Dh already had a multi region dvd player as well.  :) I love the fact I can watch all my dvd's I brought over with me without any hassles of the wrong region.  ::)

Is there something wrong with British TV which induces actual nausea?!  ;)

Good stuff on the DVD player.  Ive got a multi-region as well.

We just got this one, and it works brilliantly.  Amazon sells it as a multi-region, but you have to type in a code to get it to work.

(I was going to link to Amazon, but it's too long of a link.)
had a bit of a wobble.

me, too!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Me too!!  I saw him at Dollywood with Dolly Parton, hilarious.

We bought a £20  dvd player it plays dvd's from the States, though it did not say that on the box when we bought it.

Yeah, we got a Sanyo for pretty cheap on Amazon.  After looking at how many of them here are actually multi-region and just need you to enter a code (that usually isn't listed in the manual) I'll admit that I'm really curious if we might have had a multi-region player already and didn't know it.

Oh, and I had a West Wing fest last night too :)
