The ring!
« on: March 14, 2007, 10:59:28 PM »
Here is an example of the ring I am having designed.

The gemstones won't go all the way around.  There will be alternating diamonds (from my grandma's ring) and sapphires.  Four diamonds because we met in April, both our birthdays are in April, and diamond is both our birthstones.  Four sapphires because it is our favorite gemstone and I wanted some color.

It should be beautiful and I shouldn't break it!

That sounds gorgeous!! You must be so excited! How long should it take and are you going to start wearing it right away or have your fiancé put it on?

I will wait for him to put it on!   ;D  Not sure exactly how long it will take because the jeweler has to order the sapphires.  I am so excited!

I absolutely love it, but then again, it looks a little similiar to my wedding band.  lol  I think it is so neat you that you have add that little bit of sentimentality to it.  I love things like that!

US.  My dad has a jeweler near him in San Antonio that has made some beautiful things over the years for my mom and is very reasonable on price.  Also, my mom has my grandmother's ring and I am afraid to have her send it anywhere.

It's beautiful! I love the way you're doing it with the different stones.  My engagement ring was a sapphire and I love it.
