What a great deal! If only my daughter wasn't 17 now! I miss our family railcard!

Supposedly you can still use this to get 1/3 of rail ticket prices. I may have read it wrong but the site does say that. I'll find out in a few weeks time if it's true

I would say that it is right..I loved our family railcard..it made a huge difference in rail prices. The only thing is you have to have a kid with you! :)

I can't reccomend a Family Rail Card enough.  We've used one since our big kids were little and we've saved so much money.  Plus we're more likely to hop on a train and go to museums, galleries, and the zoo without the hassle of traffic and parking.  And you can get some really good 2for1 deals from the rail companies meaning that you save even more money!  :)

Thanks for posting this!  I had a family railcard a couple of years ago and we saved a bundle!  ;D
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.
