Looking for "Float trip" locale in the UK
« on: April 18, 2007, 05:28:42 PM »
I have been going on 2 float trips a year for the past 15 years in Missouri. I have researched forever and a day to find an equal here in the UK, after another day of searching without results I thought maybe someone out there may know of a place or if you need a bussiness idea have I got one for you!

I am not talking white water, more like a drinkers sport. A place that you camp, take a bus up to the drop off point, coolers loaded in the middle of the canoe with a lot of beer and a sandwich (maybe some dry cheeze its in a plastic baggy) slowly canoe back to the camping area after stopping every 15 minutes to "have a drink" even though you have managed to fill the recycling bag full of empty cans as you paddle every so often.

These weekends were my favorite part of summer and last year I actually flew back to go on a float trip with my friends. The whole idea is that it is affordable fun. I have a group here that would love to go, (they have seen photos of past trips) we just need a place to go.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, but are curious here is the link to one of our favorite places.
