Getting scared

I am getting really scared about this move now that we are actually doing things to get ready for it. We are going to sell our house (which I totally love) and I have to quit this job that I am so in love with (newborn intensive care unit nurse...was going to school to be a neonatal nurse practitioner which will now have to wait), and I am scared that we are going to lose all of our money during our time in England. Both my husband and I are registered nurses who have been practicing for 8-10 years in our fields. But with what all of you nurses on here are saying, I am afraid that I am going to end up working in a nursing home (if even that).

The reason we are coming out here is because my DH's family lives here and his dad is getting older and more sick. He wants our kids to get to know his side of the family, which makes sense, but it doesn't make it less scary for me ya know?

UGH! I am sure that I will get through this...I always do.

I'm sorry for your stress. I'm on the verge of the big move too. I hope your husband and your in-laws give you lots of support while you're transitioning and setting up your new life. Safety in numbers!

It will be ok in the end I am sure. It is just getting so overwhelming.

If I had to do it all again, I don't know that I'd bring up a family here.  It's very, very, very expensive.
