Cool idea - but we shop a little bit almost every day, so I don't think it'd be the same. :)

I would participate, but I shop probably once a month and then supplement veggies every week or two because I only feed myself. I'm afraid I wouldn't really be able to get a decent representation together. It would look like I didn't eat anything!  :-[

For those who don't shop on a weekly basis, what about a snap of your kitchen cupboards or inside of the fridge? Like I did with our Mexican stuff?

It'd probably be easy for me to do that sometime early next week. I'm moving this weekend, so a lot of stuff is packed up.

I should have thought of that :) heehee

I'll do it, too. But our shopping is really inconsistent lately...
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

That would mean I would have to clean them first! :P

Our fridge is full of condiments (all sorts!), milk, juice & booze, in between day to day purchases of fresh food.  Cupboard pretty boring - tinned tomatoes, tuna, olives, baked beans, cartons of orange & cranberry juice, lots of flour & baking stuff, dried fruit, etc.

Here's our Tesco shop.  It was £97.52.  Which is a big shop for us, but I get paid every two weeks, so this is big shop week and next week will be just what we need to make up meals.  It's for 5 people: one fussy teenager, one non-fussy teenager, one child and three cats.  It includes packed lunches for the 10 year old and this week two tubs of icing for the 18 year old's birthday.  :)

Here's mine!  I added some photos of my cupboards, too, since they are well stocked and we cook most of our food from scratch.  Of course, we have our fair share of junk in our weekly shopping.  The groceries are for the two of us for the week and cost £43 and change.  We eat 3 meals a day plus snacks.  One of our lunches and one of our dinners are coming from stuff we have stored in the freezer.

Spice Cabinet

Baking Supplies (mostly)

Misc Stuff Shelves (pasta, grains, beans, oils, vinegars, condiments, biscuits)

Spice Cabinet

I used to manage a Penzey's Spices!  I'd know those yellow stickers anywhere. :D

;D  I imported my stash - no way I could afford to restock it all after I got here!  Managing Penzey's sounds like a pretty nice job.

There are worse things to do, that's for sure. ;)
