Don't forget the sugared almonds (sometimes known as Jordan Almonds in the US) as favours!  And the traditional English wedding cake is fruitcake.  We had two layers, one fruitcake and one sponge.  And, actually, the fruitcake was really lovely.  It's not at all like the bricks you're used to in the US at Christmas time!  ;)

I was going to suggest the fruitcake as well. :) Here are some ideas from both of our weddings (one in the US, one in the UK) We made sure to serve tea as well as coffee, since my family thinks TEA when they think of England. As for you, make sure you wear a horseshoe somewhere on your body. We made sure to play typically English songs a lot as well... the Beatles and Stones mostly... And in my English wedding I wore a sixpence in my shoe... (something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, silver sixpence in your shoe!)... and are you doing a wedding program? If you are, you could explain the different cultures traditions in it. :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

[smiley=doh.gif]  How could I have forgotten about the sixpence?!  I wore one in my shoe as well.  Got mine at Past Times.

There's also something to do with a "wedding broom" - you'll see them in the card stores and such starting around this time.  I never could get an explanation what it's about.  Somehow I doubt it's like the African broom-jumping celebration!  :D

Ok I have a few additions here too.  I'm not sure if they are just welsh though.  Sorry  :-/   We are using daffodils in the men's lapels (this one is welsh) ummmm instead of numbering the tables at the reception we are using pictures of places in Wales.  So my parents may sit at Swansea Bay instead of table 1.  Apparently this was done alot in weddings over the past summer.  That all I can think of aside from the crackers.  Ooo Aimiloo I just got mine yesterday.  They look great and I can't wait to fill mine.  That's probably the biggest british thing I've done.

We also signed out wedding license thingy IN the ceremony.  (If you do this, make sure you announce what you're doing so that the guests aren't confused about what's going on.)
