Need help with hotel accomodations

My wife and I are planning to relocate to Scotland in 2 years so we are going to visit there to get an idea if it is a good fit for us. We are planning on living in the Glasgow area so we would like to stay there or in the surrounding areas. We are on somewhat of a budget so we would like to stay somewhere reasonably inexpensive. Does anyone have any ideas? If so please help. Thanks

there are several chain budget hotels in the UK.  i've stayed at one in the center of glasglow once... they're basic & clean.  no frills.  check out these websites:

Just being curious and nosey.. Why the Glasgow area??
