What do in Chicago for one day?

One of my best friends' family owns a Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago. It's called Pasteur and very chi-chi. Oliver Stone and some other celebs dine there often.  If you go, tell Quynh that I said hello!

Giordano's Pizza is the best!  I was there with my fiance last December before moving and he was amazed at the size of it.  We also went to the top of the Sears Tower. 

I'm just seeing this thread.  I'm living in Chicago right now.  If you are going to be in town around Labor Day.  Check out the Jazz Fest.  If you go for pizza go the Giordano's.   If you want to venture South of the Loop maybe check out the Field Museum.  Brad and Angelina were there yesterday;-)  or the Museum of Science and Industry.

I love the Museum of Science and Industry but sadly it's not the same as it was when I was a kid.
By the way, the Museum of Science and Industry is the only surviving building from the 'White City' The Chicago Worlds Fair, The Columbia Exposition 1893.

I loooooooove the Field Museum.  I'm a total geek that way - I was there on Sue's opening day!
