I have the day cream, but haven't started using it yet.

I bought Aldi's day cream and night cream. I've only been using them for a day or so, so I can't really say if they work well or not - but they smell DIVINE!!  :)

I have never been to a Lidl.

There is an Aldi just up the road from me but I can't shop there because the pushy senior citizen crowd does my head in. (Maybe the clientele is different elsewhere.) I need to be able to stand in front of a shelf and decide what I want to purchase without feeling other people's breath down my neck. The fact that they don't have handbaskets, so even people with a small number of items have to walk around with ankle-bumping trolleys, doesn't help either. I walk in and I have to walk right out again because I can't deal with it.

The few pounds I would save aren't worth the heartburn.

I carry around my cloth bags, and just fill them up when i go to Aldi... no need for a hand-basket.  And this way you will know that what you're buying will actually fit into your bags!

But everyone else is walking around with trolleys. That's the problem. Trolleys and narrow aisles don't mix.

oh sorry, my mistake.
i thought you were just complaining about the lack of handbaskets because you want to carry one rather than use a trolley yourself.

How are you finding the cream?

I have been using the day cream for a week and like it.  My face feels smooth and soft and make-up looks better on my skin.

Get thee to Aldi!
I was just there, and they have BLACKBERRY and BLUEBERRY syrup, like you'd put on pancakes!

I bought the blackberry, and just took a sip from the bottle... it's lovely and thick and has blackberry pulp/seeds in it.

I've been enjoying their raspberry syrup on my french toast for about two weeks!!

I'll need to try the blackberry kind.

YUM!

I like it! I wouldn't say my skin is any better than it was before (when I was using expensive creams), but it certainly isn't any worse. I'd say it's as good as the pricier stuff!  :)
