I forgot to turn the crock pot on!

I put a beef stew into the crock pot this morning and forgot to turn it on before I left for work. When I remembered it was three hours later so I ran back home. I felt the beef and it was cool, not warm to the touch so I turned it on high and let it cook for about five hours.

Do you think it is ok to eat?

I don't eat meat (I did for 29 years) but I would say heck yes it's okay.

Guess I'm gonna throw caution to the wind and let the family eat it. We'll see how it goes. I'm just particular about meat.
