Just bake scones, get some seriously good strawberry jam, and pretend you are in the middle of a Cornish summer!

I have one strawberry jam with Cointreau I bought homemade in Cornwall. Yummy! Since I started buying local jams I am not going back to the supermarket stuff.  ;D

I could do with some warm scones and clotted cream just about now.

I can eat clotted cream straight from the tub with a spoon... or dip cookies in it!

I was doing that with brandy butter my first year here. I saw a 3 pack of creams on sale at Sainbury's and resisted the special offer. What on earth will I REALLY do with 3 creams? So I went for the special offer in the christmas cheeses. Sucker!  ;)

oh yeah, i can easily do that with brandy butter too, and last week Sainsburys had their 3-packs of flavoured extra thick cream (in vanilla, cognac & grand marnier flavours) marked down to 10p (!!!), so i had to have some!

see now for 10p I would have done it but it was still just half price.  ;) I am a horrible impulse shopper but I showed good restraint.

Make clotted cream fudge!
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

- from Anthem, by Leonard Cohen (b 1934)
