The horrorer of a drunk no show
« on: January 12, 2008, 09:45:39 PM »
When we got married we had with my moms help planned or so we thought really well, we did not think it would rain for a month or that the justice of the piece would not show up and when he did he was as drunk as a skunk, the place we where ment to get married at turned out to be nothing like the pictures and thank goodness my mom and dad went to look first a week prior, so we decided we would be married at my parents house, we managed to get a town hall justice of the piece to marry us 1 hour before he stopped work and raced over there and then my mom and her friend went to collect the marriage certi.

Next day (early morning) we got up 3am to catch the train to new york and the bath room had flooded my mom and sonya tried to dry it out but we had to leave it.

Got the train got to New York at 8.30 am and it took us till 10.45 to get to embassy, could not get on a bus had to get help, we got visa thank god it was the only bit we did not have a problem with and we walked back to the train station.

It then rained solid for the rest of the month we had our wedding reception on the Saturday my wife hit a big puddle and we nearly totled the van she refused to drive for the rest of the weekend and we ended up staying at my parents house for 3 days LOL.

We got stranded at heathrow when we got back as there was no one there to help me off the plane 1 hour later the steward helped then we got through passport and no one to help me into my wheelchair and then we found it did not work wires come out errrrrrrrrrrrr, wife fixed it and was in tears begging the bag handlers to help they where all standing around doing nothing in the end they must have felt guilty for saying not our job and came back 40 minutes later and helped us, we got home what a relief but you know what it was worth every second because we are together and we are a family at last.

I hope we get better weather with the new year I am getting rained out.

Good luck to everyone with respective visa applications.

Congratulations on your wedding and I'm glad things worked out in the end.
