Dar, where are you in Northamptonshire, I live in the area and I haven't had any problem.

Rushden.  It is so weird.  I have called every surgery in town and have gotten the same exact answer!  >:(
*makes up spare bed*

Tee hee!  I really need to come see you, though!

Good luck

Indy and wife  :)

Thanks Indy and Sonya!  :D

can you get your partner to put you name on a utility bill? that's what i did when they asked. my boyfriend rang the energy company and had the bill changed so that it included both of our names. all i had to do was speak to them for a minute and say he had my permission. you can then request that they send a copy of the current bill immediately, i think.

You need to call the trust and demand to speak to a supervisor and demand that he register you.

Calling as soon as the clock hits 9 a.m.  I need to get in to see the GP in a month as I need to get my thyroid levels checked and my prescription refilled.  I am officially on the war path now.  >:(

Dar is your DH already registered with a surgery?  If so, have you mentioned it to any of the surgeries?   :-\\\\  They can be so thick sometimes, but if they see you've already got a family member with them they can usually put 2 and 2 together.    :P

Good luck!

I'll be very curious what the PALS people say. If they give you any answer that you don't think is correct, let me know and I'll phone them myself (as a PALS manager - not as an individual obviously. LOL) - this isn't a decision for the PCT to make - it's the freakin' law.  >:(

Easy with the eye rolls now!  ;) Some days the volume of calls we get is totally unmanageable. I have 13 open cases and five that I'm in the process of logging plus I just missed three phone calls while I was consulting with a colleague! And I'm alone in the office.  :-\\\\

All of which means that I need to get offline and do some work!  ;D

I'll pm you my office line. If no luck, ring me.

Thanks for that, Anne!  Sorry about the eye rolls.  I will wait for someone to call me.  If not, I will ring you.  I work in healthcare too, so, I know things can get really crazy.  Thanks for all your help!  :-*

Most catchment areas are quite small - they definitely won't be 10 miles....

No one has called me back yet, but, since they are busy, I will give them until tomorrow afternoon and then I will call again.

I am also asking my manager for a day off next Monday so I can register with the surgery and go to the DVLA for my provisional license (can't send it in because the DVLA has to sign my picture or something).

I think doctors surgeries work with as the crow fly's for catchment area's, my wife moved and her then surgery told her she weoul have to move to another surgery.
I hope we get better weather with the new year I am getting rained out.

Good luck to everyone with respective visa applications.
