How very sad

this sucks.

my grampas was diagnosed with the same type & was gone within two weeks. 

My mom stuck it out seven months, but it always ends the same.

My dentist told me there is a treatment: they basically scoop you out like a melon and replace all your innards in one big transplant. I was skeptical, but the man has Medline references, so what do I know. I can't imagine that one gets done too often, anyway. I wonder if moviestar money could make it so...

We have had several people with pancreatic cancer lately.  If it is found early enough, it is resectable and the survival rate is pretty good.  The surgery is often curative, not just palliative.   They do take out a fair whack of small intestine, gall bladder, pancreas and spleen, but nothing is replaced.
