2008 March Madness
« on: March 19, 2008, 04:35:46 PM »
Is anyone else going to be filling in their brackets along with this?  I live for March Madness every year!

Besides subscribing to NASN (which I can't do, as we don't have Sky in the first place), is there any watch to watch ANY of the games?  I miss it so!!

EDIT: I just found the answer to my own question, I think: http://ncaasports.com/mmod/?source=mktg_mmod08_vip2_bkntl&refcode=mmod08_vip2_bkntl.  Free on-demand player provided by CBS Sports!!

yay! awesome find, thanks for sharing :D
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

I fill out either a bracket on Yahoo or ESPN and just guess since I haven't been following throughout the season. I usually do well the first round, the second round goes down a bit and then it completely falls apart after that but it's fun. I miss watching the games on my work PC with links provided by the company. I went to a Division III school but I still get swept up in it every year!

It's like this massive chart you fill out for the college basketball season, you are meant to try and guess who will win each game. My husband made me do it the first year I was with him, of course I was wildly wrong! He is well into it this year because his alma mater is in it and tells me he is staying up all night on Thursday to watch their first game!

And it's even more fun when there's a bit of money on the outcomes!  ;D

Because my alma mater happens to be somewhere where college basketball is king....Go Heels! ;)  I don't follow the tournament normally, but I do like it when my team does well!

Hehe, my problem is my brackets always look like what I WANT to happen, rather than what I think will actually happen.  I fill them out with my heart, not my head! :-P

That said, I've got Texas going all the way to the finals...wonder how that happened? O:-)

Big March Madness fan here as well. :)

Someone else sent me the link you posted, Aless, but as I'm writing this I'm 34,000 on the list to get in.  It is going by fast, but in the meantime, does anyone know an Internet radio station to tune-into or another site that would offer some games???

Also, I have Sky - is there a station I can subscribe to for this?

I'm fans for UT and U of Memphis...I'd love to see them play each other again.  :)

Good grief, the bracket carnage! Gonzaga breaks my heart one again. Higher seeds Vanderbilt, Connecticut, USC, Drake, Clemson all gone. Kinda wish I saw/heard the San Diego-Connecticut game, at least the final minutes, it must have been crazy. Hopefully Yahoo will do a second chance bracket and I'll be able to redeem myself.

If you have Sky - then you can get NASN (Channel 417), you need to subscribe to Setanta Sports and it's included in their package.

Hi,

If you go to the link that Aless posted at the top of this thread, you can watch all the games from any round of the tournament.  The close games even have a "Buzzer Beater" option where you can just watch the last few minutes.

adios,
Carl
