Stopping a Bulldog account, how?
« on: March 31, 2008, 05:41:43 PM »
I have Bulldog BB/phone service, and it's been fine.  I need to stop it now, though, and can't get through to anyone by phone or email.  Any tips?

Ha, we had the same problem when we wanted to stop our account with them.  Stop your direct debit (or however you pay), they'll soon get in touch!

We stopped paying ours, tried emailing and sending them letters and have heard nothing... that was over a year ago.  :-\\\\

I just tried emailing cancel@bulldogbroadband.com, which is a new address to me.. maybe that will get a reply.  And yes, we're blocking them from the account.  (It has to stay open for a few months, though, we still need it for some stuff.  If they still don't reply, what do I do with the modem?  Leave it, I guess..

I have email!  It says "we have received your email".  Good start, I think.

Now trying to get a final Council tax bill.  They told me to call for it, but their phone lines are generally busy and are set to chatter at you then disconnect.  Was put on hold this morning (yay!) and after a shortish wait actually talked to a person!  Who said:

"Our system is down, call back tomorrow."

cancel@bulldogbroadband.com seems to have worked.  A real person replied and agreed to cancel the service, and even to send us the final bill soon.  So... maybe they're not the evil empire.  (Still going to monitor the bank account).
