If you do a search of the Food threads I know you'll find loads of info on most of those products.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Pop Tarts, Twix, Peanut Butter, yes; Peanut Butter perhaps not as you know it.

Mountain Dew, Capn Crunch, Goldfish crackers, no.

Ranch, on occasion there is a brand that appears now and again (totally forget the name) but it is Parmesean Ranch and hard to come by so I will just say, no. Bring lots and lots of the powdered packets.

Also, it depends on where you're moving to.  I find lots of stuff, but then I live in Surrey which has a HUGE American population. You find a lot of it cheap though.

You know, I've never even noticed there was a difference between UK and US peanut butter - I'm gonna have to take some US stuff back home with me when I visit the UK this summer to compare them:).

Fun fact: Twix is actually originally British - introduced in the UK in 1967 and in the US in 1979!

I've rarely seen Newman's Ranch, slightly more often seen Cardini? Carlini? Something like that.  Don't waste time on the Aldi ranch dressing, it's very blah.

Aldi peanut butter on the other hand is american (even made in Georgia!)

You can get some flavors of pop tarts but certainly not the variety you do in the states.

Twix you can get pretty much anyplace.

Goldfish you sometimes see as "Finz"

Mountain Dew and Captain Crunch you're out of luck!

If you love Skippy, you'll notice a difference, although having said that, the PB has gotten better over the years.

Cardini! That's what I was thinking of. It's not bad. I have not seen Newman's Ranch, but have seen other Newman's dressings.

I'm gonna have to get me to Aldi now, there's one near where I live. Is it a good shop, what is it like, is it like Lidl at all?

You can get Skippy in Sainsbury's and Costco (2 kilo jars).   :)  SunPat's better than most for peanut butter, but still rather oily.

Peanut butter isn't really a massive food staple over here, so you won't find as much variety of uses.  Reese's are hard to come by, but you'll often find them in Morrison's (near the tils) and at farm shops.   ;)

Goldfish crackers, no.

They carry them at the independent grocery store in my town, so I guess it depends where you live on that one.  :)

Tesco has ranch dressing.  I don't like it, so I can't vouch for whether or not it's any good, but it's definitely there -- in the produce section above the bagged salads.

Same @ Morrison's.

As evidenced, a lot will depend on where you are and what your local stores carry.

I've never actually been to a Lidl, so I can't compare Aldi to them.  All I know is Aldi's food is very very tasty and inexpensive, but because they are small there will be some things they simply don't carry at all.  Some people equate Aldi with cheap (and therefore crappy) but I think most of their stuff is lovely.  They do stock some name brand stuff as well as their own brands.

Stella Marie, the Newman's Ranch I had was several years ago.  Think we may have bought it at Tesco.
