I hope he gets some offers after that programme! Rich and a good cook!  :)

Pity we're both already committed elsewhere. ;) :D

I didn't see the entire program.  I sat down for it when the second woman was cooking hers (the one who brought in entertainment while she cooked), so I missed what the horrible woman made - the one who got the lowest score.

I thought he did a lovely job, too, and should probably have won. It's hardly fair to give someone a low score just because you don't happen to like shellfish or garlic or whatever. They come up with their menus before meeting so, unless someone specifies that they're a vegetarian or have allergies, how in the world can they know what not to cook? Poor man. Single, though! I hope he gets some offers after that programme! Rich and a good cook!  :)

I have to admit that I did not see this episode, but it always drives me crazy to see how subjective the judging is. No one ever says "I really don't care for salmon, but it was well cooked and presented and everyone else thought it very tasty so I will give a 9." Maybe that is part of the appeal?

The horrible woman made seafood chowder or red pepper soup for her starter, chicken and stilton for her main, and lemon tart or bread and butter pudding for dessert. She should have just had one starter and one dessert, though, because she was way out of her depths. I think it was about midnight before they finished eating! Not good time management. And, her desserts were apparently just so-so ... after she told them all that she's a pastry chef! Plus, she got a bit squiffy.

I'm wondering if the producers didn't perhaps tell them all to be more vocal about what they think this time around. In previous series, they were all much more polite!

I like the show and boyfriend loves the voiceover!  I agree though that they do seem to judge by personality and not cooking... which is a shame.

How about that woman with the violin and wailing away after everyone had gone? Where do they find these people? Or the woman with the mannequins all over her house???  Maybe that was on the longer version show...

The horrible woman's lemon tarts looked awful! And she was a pastry chef!  :o  X  Then stormed off at the end. Classic.

I thought it was really dull last night (but very pleased that it didn't clash with AI for a change nonetheless). I felt bad that the vegan guy lost so resoundingly - being punished for not having meat just isn't fair.

Oh, and the lady who won? I wouldn't have been able to deal with her and her pickyness - I mean come on - tofu might not be to everyone's taste, but to act like you're gagging? People just have no manners at all.

I hated her! Why on earth did she bother even going on the programme?? She didn't like fish, didn't like mousse, had never tasted asparagus, etc. You'd think they'd attract a slightly more foodie class of person, wouldn't you?

(I really liked vegan man!)

I liked the vegan guy as well.

I wasn't really impressed by any of the cooking.

I think the best part of this show is that everyone thinks they can cook and entertain really well and then you look at some of the stuff they are serving and you're like, ummm, what in the world???  But I think people's table manners are absolutely awful.  I was rather amused by the guy who was like, I hate garlic and then made a garlic soup?????  The poor vegan guy too, he didn't stand a chance, and it was too bad, because his stuff looked pretty good.

What about that woman who wore a tiara and wouldn't let that other woman in because it wasn't 6:30 yet and locked her out of the house for 15 minutes!
And she had a nude painting of herself in the living room, and her food looked pretty grim! Prawns on toast?!

Worst meal ever has got to be the squirty cream guy, oooh I'm making a beef stew but someone doesn't eat beef, I'll throw a chicken breast in!

I'm so addicted to this show!!

The woman who won was OK but pretty much anyone could have done that dinner. And her hostess skills were nothing special. The others were AWFUL. OMG I would have starved at most of those dinner parties!! The politician was killing me though - his red lips on the first night after he was pounding the red wine!!  :-X

Oh, and his salad of tuna and beans - no dressing. Mmmm.

I really miss this show.  When I was in England I watched it every afternoon.  I wish they had something like that over here.

We've just started watching this. Why do they always seem to find the most irritating people to put on these shows? Most of the food looked terrible, though I give high marks to the Indian woman last night because she made about 12 things.

Her cooking looked great, but I toook massive points away from her for being so weird about leaving the room when the cheese was served. Rude!!

I just don't get the extreme anti-vegetarianism I see on this show. Like, you can't go for ONE MEAL without meat? BOO freakin' HOO.
