Would you check this to fly?
« on: April 26, 2008, 11:30:25 PM »
So, I am trying to figure out what I'm going to pack my son's wooden train set in when we fly to the UK in a couple weeks. . . Has anyone every used a container like the linked one below?  How did it hold up?  We're flying with Lufthansa this time. . .

That looks good to me, the hingest and clasps seem secure as well. Some people have used zip ties if they are unsure.

When my children were small I would buy them toys etc whenever in the States but never had enough room in the suitcases for this rather bulky items so would just go to one of those stores that sell packing boxes and used them.  It's cheap and I never had any problems checking them in and never had anything break.  Just call the airline and ask them what the maximum size they accept.
