Men's electric shavers
« on: April 27, 2008, 10:21:06 PM »
So, I'm thinking of getting my husband an electric shaver for his birthday because he's been mentioning wanting one for quite awhile.

I'm prepared to spend up to £150 on one but what I'm wondering is if there is really a difference between £50-£100 ones and £100-£150 ones. Are they really better? It's just the type of thing I could imagine there not being much of a difference in.

So, since I have no idea at all, I'm hoping someone here can tell me. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I can't comment on specific makes of shaver, but in general on all modern domestic electrical appliances prices in these ranges tend not to make a whole lot of difference to quality, once you get above that really cheap "Made in China" garbage.

The difference between the higher and lower prices in the middle-range stuff tends to just reflect the supposed reputation of the brand name and the features.

Thanks, Paul. That was the feeling I got about them. It seemed like the only difference was the more expensive they got the more sleek they tried to make them look.

This helps! Thanks!

I have a Norelco and it has lasted 10 years and is going well. It was around $30 new.
