transferring email?
« on: May 08, 2008, 01:52:51 PM »
Anyone know if there is a way to transfer emails from Outlook to another package or email address without doing it one by one?

DH has a ton from his Uni address he needs transferred - ideally to his GoogleMail addy but other suggestions are welcome...

TIA!

He should be able to highlight them and they will send as attachments.  I am not sure if they will download into a web based mail, but he could then configure gmail to be his e-mail address on outlook (assuming this is on his own computer).

Click on File, then Export, select messages....you can then export them to a file and there are a number of options as to the format you put them in. This file can then be imported.

i did this recently to get emails off my old PC and onto my new one, copying the file I created onto an external hard drive, of course as they were compatible from Outlook to Microsoft Mail (which replaced it) I could save as a .pst file (personal folder), you may have to do it as comma delimited or something else.

Hi,

If you haven't already done so, following link might help.
