Recipe exchange websites
« on: May 19, 2008, 06:09:51 PM »
What is your favourite recipe exchange website?

I just registered for allrecipes, but I'm interested in suggestions (especially those that have a good vegetarian selection).

DH and I have been in a meal rut lately and have about three meals that we rotate.  Its getting old, boring and blah!

My fav is bbcgoodfood.com.  Not really an exchange site, but they have loads of good stuff there.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

The BBC food boards are good if you avoid some of the abrasive personalities there. they have a veggie board.

allrecipes.com

They have great search features and I like the fact it will translate to metric/English measurements.  Also, I like that you can reduce the servings size.

They probably all do that, but I always seem to find what I am looking for on allrecipes.

Epicurious.com is my favorite. I also like recipezaar.com. It has a really nice search feature. If you haven't been on it yet, definitely check out tastespotting.com. Great food porn and inspiration.

Recipezaar is my favorite. It's basically the same thing as Allrecipes, but I've found it to have a better variety of recipes.

I'm a bit late on this thread, but wanted to add a couple of my very favorite veg friendly websites.  While not exactly recipe exchanges, they have definitely gotten me out of my veggie chili, lentil and rice rut. :)

Me too-yay for "food porn."
My biggest problem is that when I go to Post Punk Kitchen looking for one recipe, I end up jumping from one great food blog to the next and than can't decide what to make... :)
