Why can't I change my custom title?

The custom title is the little bit that shows up under your screen name when you post.  I can't change mine and seem to no longer have that option.  :-\\\\

Hmm.  I thought you had to be a charter member for a custom title.  Were you once a charter member and you're not now?

You can change your name on how it appears in the forum but it will remain the same for when you log in (the username you registered with). My username was Mint when I registered and I changed it to how it appears now, but I still have to use Mint when I log in.

If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

No.  I always had the custom title option though.  It now says "I'm here!" and I just wanted to delete that.

I have no idea, actually.  I just noticed it when I went to change it.  I've changed it several times before.

Maybe there was a glitch that let non charter members do it for a while but it got fixed?

I imagine it has something to do with group permissions and when new groups were created last they didn't carry that ability. I've added this to my short term to-do list and it should be sorted by the end of the weekend. Sorry about that. :)
