You can buy epazote online from The Cool Chile Company http://www.coolchile.co.uk or buy it in some of the shops in the better cities that stock their stuff.

They also include a packet of epazote, along with the other chiles and stuff you need to make really killer black beans frijoles de la olla.

Thanks for that link....now I can start to use the recipe book I picked up a while ago!

Good luck with that mate, let me know how you get on!

Had dinner Saturday night in London at Mestizo, my favourite Mexican restaurant in this part of the world! Delicious stuff ... tinga gorditas, tacos de cochinita pibil, and two side orders of their awesome black beans de la olla. I don't know how they get their black beans so buttery and light and tasty, but I want the secret!

All the staff at Mestizo are Mexicans and I actually had a peek in the kitchen on this visit and it was great to see real Mexicans working in there, moulding all sorts of tacos and tamales and tortas by hand with great big globs of masa harina dough. Very re-assuring.

Highly recommend a visit to Mestizo (just north of Warren Street tube) to any of you Mexican food lovers who happen to be in London. I go there every time I'm in London.
It sure ain't cricket!
