The Making of Me
« on: July 25, 2008, 09:40:12 AM »
We watched the first episode of a new (3 episode) BBC documentary series (on BBC1) last night called The Making of Me - it was really good!  The series will feature three famous people who are investigating the scientific reasons for being the way they are.

The first episode was John Barrowman - swoon! [smiley=smitten.gif]  He was looking into the whole nature/nurture argument as an explanation for his being gay.  It was really a fab show!  You can watch it on Iplayer if you're interested.

I think next week's episode will be about a famous athlete - Colin Jackson (who I've never heard of?).

I wasn't paying close attention at that moment. :(

I really liked the part where they showed those two young boys - identical twins, who were so sooooo different already in childhood, in their predispositions, so to speak.  Amazing!

I didn't even know he was gay - but really, it took a hour to tell us that people are gay because they are born gay and it's the way they are......insightful!  ::)

Maybe not to you or me, but... <looks around> [smiley=shifty.gif]

I did think the scientific bits were really interesting though! :)
