US DS Lite

Will UK-purchased games work?

It's about £30 cheaper, and my parents can bring it over when they come in November.

Aillidh would love one for Christmas.  A pink one.

We bought one in the U.S. last Christmas for my in-laws here in the U.K., believe it or not. At the time, it was about half the price of the ones here in the U.K., and that included buying three separate games with the system. My brothers-in-law supposedly checked to see if you can use U.K. games in the U.S. system, and apparently you can, but they have not tried it yet, so I can't say for certain. It's definitely worth it, though. You could always have your parents send you games if necessary, as they, too, are cheaper in the U.S.

Yep, they work! My sis-in-law bought a bunch of games when she was over in the States and they work fine on her UK DS so I'd imagine they'd work the same vice-versa.

Yup, they work!  My son's DS is from Canada and he buys games in the UK.  No worries.

So glad to hear it!

She wants a pink one and of course they are more expensive than black ones, which is what DH has (a gift from his brother).

She has dyspraxia and seems to do a lot better with electronics than pen and paper.
