I'll second the chips (fries) with chocolate ice-cream - yummy.  Also my grandad used to make sandwiches with Cheshire Cheese and Raspberry Jam - something I occasionally have a craving for even now.  But it doesn't work the same with cheddar for some reason :-\\\\

Peanut butter and (streaky) bacon sandwiches. My mom has made them since I was a kid. I love the sweet/savoury combo.

Almost any cheese with almost any jam is great.  Cream cheese and blackcurrant is good, as is brie and rasperry.  I think cheddar and cherry is good.  Strawberry only goes with soft cheeses.

I love salty popcorn with plain M&Ms. I also like salty peanuts with plain M&Ms. Oddly, I really don't like peanut M&Ms... it's just not the same. I think it's the salty/sweet thing that I really like.

And balmerhon, my mom always ate PB/dill pickle... EWWWW. :)

Brie, apricot jam, and pear slices on baguette was one of my favourites at our lovely local sandwich shop before we moved to the UK. I must try cream cheese and blackcurrant--sounds fab!

I used to dip my fries in a shake all the time.  I also used to love fries with gravy or mayo (which other people thought was weird, but I didn't).  Sharp cheddar is great with apples/apple pie IMO.

My mom used to eat the peanut butter and bacon thing.  I never really got into it.  I used to put potato chips in my sandwiches though.

That's my favorite too. I love Jarlsberg cheese and cloudberry jam on a crumpet. There is an amazing jam that I get in Sweden, orange and carrot, and that is delicious with goat's cheese.

French fries drenched in malt vinegar and dipped in mayo. Yum! :P

Peanut butter and jam sandwiches with Fritos in it.  Salty, sweet and crunchy.  Mmm.

On the rare occasions I eat hash browns, I like them covered in mustard.

Oh, and sweet gherkins dipped in cheese (any kind, really) fondue.  I balked at first, but now I'm a convert!

Chips and mayo is a European classic (especially in Belgium)

Chips and gravy is a staple meal of the North of England.  Along with Chips and Curry Sauce and the classic Barm Cake.  You're in the wrong part of the country  ;)

I like Fritos in a tuna sandwich. But I guess that's not too weird. I don't think I eat any weird food combos. I need to work on that.

Back when I still ate sandwiches, I liked ham, mayo and Fritos on soft white bread.

Another weird combo I like..and it's really weird because I normally hate eggs...is boiled eggs chopped up and mixed with mayo and paprika with crushed Tostitos on top.
