I don't know, I can't get into Baby Ruth after seeing a turd floating in a swimming pool.  I don't know if this was a manufactured memory after seeing it in a movie ( was it Caddyshack?)  or a real encounter.  Either way, yes on Reeses cups, no on Baby Ruth.

I didn't mind it being in the pool and mistaken for a turd... it was his happy chopping into it after the evacuation of the pool that was so cringey for me.  It's funny... he identifies it as a candy bar, but it's still gross and I still think poo when I watch that scene.

I can find Baby Ruth's at Morrison's.  They're pricey (£1 each!!), but for a treat, it's worth it to me.  And they only seem pricey if you don't factor in the cost of flying to America to buy them at a "reasonable" price.  :)

PayDay, sadly, is not available to me here.

I have a feeling that I've seen them somewhere here, I'll keep an eye out. They are available on Amazon £8.99 for 6.

Check B&M Bargains and Home Bargains if either are close to you; both have American candy bars ad other treats from time to time, B&M especially. I have seen PayDay bars there. Home Bargains had some expensive Twinkies and Ho-Hos a few months back, but they were finally at knock-down price as no-one was buying them. I passed even at the knock-down price.

Ohmigosh, that post started by talking about "apple pie egg rolls" and I though, "OH, man... I bet those are like the old McDonald's pies...."  And then they said it!  I want to make the apple version!  My husband would love them!  And so would I!  I could pre-make them and freeze them, then we could just fry up what we want when we want to eat them...!

I have an important question that is going to make some of you judge me...

So, I "didn't like" cream cheese in the US.  And by that I mean I had it once on something when I was very young and I didn't like the something, so I thought I hated cream cheese.  I think it was a jalapeno popper, and I was expecting cheez whiz or Velveeta or something inside, but it was one of the ones filled with cream cheese instead, and I was bitterly disappointed so swore off cream cheese forever.  Because of this, I don't know how, say, Philadelphia Cream Cheese tastes on its own.  But I do know it worked as an ingredient in things in the US.  My question/concern is, if I buy "soft cheese" or cream cheese over here and use it the same way I used Philadelphia Cream Cheese in the US, will my result be what I remember from the US?  Or will it be less sharp?

It's the same.  Maybe use marscapone cheese instead. I think you will like it better.
