What food are you craving right now?

Straight up ice cream sandwich indeed!  They're just amazing!

We were just talking about that this week! How much we wish we could have just an ordinary ice cream sandwich.

Closest we've come is one from Tesco that is made with waffle-cone-like cookies, and neapolitan ice cream, and half-dipped in chocolate. It's nice. But not the same.

I miss Cool Whip, desperately

Is that a particular type of ice cream sandwich?  So, not the chocolate things with vanilla in the middle?  Oh!  It's a brand!  And there are all different varieties, including the classic one!  Oh my gosh, I love those... I look every time I see an ice cream section, but they just don't exist here, do they?  Poor Brits... they're totally missing out.

There's those Ben & Jerry's ones (what are they called, 'Wich? Something like that), which are 2 cookies with ice cream sandwiched in the middle.
Aldi has similar... 2 choc chip cookies, with a slab of ice cream in the middle.

Ages ago...like 13-14 years ago, Aldi used to have ICE CREAM TACOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had grilled homemade burgers for dinner! And Leon's garlic aioli w/ their waffle fries. It was heavenly. So glad the Leon's products are in Sainsbury's now, they were about to open a Reading location and then covid happened but they are so tasty!

My husband objects to calling it "pizza", but whatever you call it, I could go for some right now.  He doesn't believe me when I tell him how awesome a good one is.  He also doesn't believe me when I tell him he can't eat a whole one on his own.

Omg, you'd be so sick eating a whole one yourself!

I posted this elsewhere, but try the Chicago's Best jumbo frankfurters from Ocado. They are very much like jumbo Hebrew National hot dogs.

I have also been craving homemade apple pie and found my mom's old (circa 1958) recipe. Made it three times but ran out of Crisco (which you can't find many places here). Trex seems to be the best replacement for that perfect flaky crust.
