Bud draught is the most expensive??? Yikes! I wouldn't pay 50p for it, tbh!! (I'm a beer snob, what can I say?)  :P

Bud is weirdly different here (though I'm still not saying it's something I'd drink  :P ) DH hates it in the US but likes it here - must be a difference in the way it's brewed or something....

5% abv here... 3.5% abv in the US.

I'll have to take your word for that. ;) I can't imagine paying nearly $8 for a Budweiser! LOL

And did anyone else notice that the person who started this thread is called "AA". I just find that comical in a thread about beer. :P

Last year my Tesco had a lot of Pumpkin Ale and it was all pretty tasty and cheap since no one else seemed to buy it.
Ooh, there's also a pumpkin ale in one of the ale selection packs my boyfriends buys at Costco (it might be the Badger one?). I don't drink much beer, but I love those...

Try the Rake in Borough Market, which is run by Utobeer which someone else mentioned. It's a very small pub. You may not be able to buy a six pack, but they do carry a ton of interesting beers in bottles and a handful of interesting ones on tap...

The Utobeer stall in Borough Market is fantastic.  If they don't have this, they will certainly have other beers you like.

I didn't know about The Rake, so thanks for that.  When we go down there we always drink in the Market Porter.

I know there all kinds of Belgian beers available here, but it's all about nostalgia. I guess I'll have to carry a 6-pack next time on my way across the pond.

5% abv here... 3.5% abv in the US.

I think that's only in certain states. Here in Texas I'm almost positive it's 5%. :) I think some states have laws that the % abv can only be so high. ::)

It's worth ringing or emailing Utobeer [nofollow] to see if they can get it for you. They've got a stall at Borough Market which stocks a staggering array of imported beers.

Though they can't get me Yuengling. :( They are still mere humans, afterall.

I know this is late, but I am still in the process of unpacking everything and getting all my ducks in order from my move last month. God do I miss Yuengling. I lived most of my life(I'm 24) near the town it was brewed in(pottsville,pa). I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss the coal region sometimes. I went out a few nights with my fiance over here and am still searching for a good beer.

I have ONE yeungling left that my brother brought down for me. I'm saving it for something "special".  :-[

If you can find it (sometimes in supermarkets, sometimes in bottles in pubs), you should try the Russian beer Baltika. To both my and my fiance's tastes, it's the closest we've found to Yuengling over here. Though when we gave my dad a blind taste test, he actually preferred the Baltika!  :(

Know that you posted the query ages ago, so you've either found it yourself or given up by now!

Blue Moon is now available off-trade (trial) in Sainsbury's, and on-trade (trial) in some of the higher-end M&B pub chains. Any outlet taking on the product must sign up to 'orange serve', branded glassware, etc. The product is being imported by Coors Brewers Limited.

It is currently only available packaged, with draught trials being planned.

Incidentally, it is the same product as Rickards (until recently, both were brewed in Molson's Montreal brewery) - only packaged different. MillerCoors have taken Blue Moon production out of Montreal, to their breweries in Colorado and North Carolina.

Does this mean that if this takes, Blue Moon could be all over the UK in the future?  Because that would be just awesome :)

Beerhead:  which M&B pubs are "high end"?  I've got a few around me and I'd love to go and get some Blue Moon from them, but I'd rather not have to go to every one of them to see which one's got it.  Thanks!
