Restaurants Near the Globe Theatre?

Hi all,

Anybody got any suggestions for a nice romantic restaurant near the Globe Theatre in London?  I'm going to take my girlfriend out for her birthday, and would appreciate any recommendations.  I'm thinking something in the £20 - £30 per person range.

yes! In the Oxo Tower there's the (much cheaper) brasserie which is also up at the top with amazing views and the same food as you get in the expensive restaurant portion. My fiance actually took me there this year for my birthday. 

Otherwise there's cheaper places around there like The Real Greek, Wagamamas, and a bunch of pubs on the river but none of those are as nice as the Oxo brasserie for a special occasion, imho.

Reservation made!  Thanks so much for that!  I'd totally discounted the OXO as I though it was crazy expensive.

We had dinner there last night, and it was excellent.  The service was friendly, the food was great (I highly recommend the vanilla cheesecake with blueberries), and the view was great.  Thanks again, squirrellypoo!
