Been watching Strictly Come Dancing and how hunky is Austin Healey. Hubba hubba.

In fact, I have a thing for just about all the professional dancers, except Brendan Cole. (gag) But especially Anton du Beke. He's just so classy.

There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

I was recently reminded of this thread by a conversation on the QI thread, so I decided to revive it. :)

I have a crush on Robert Crampton, for his column on the last page (except for this week when an upside-down John Lewis ad got on the last page) of the Saturday Times magazine.  He has a son and daughter the same ages as mine and he always writes stuff that makes me laugh.  It's not much of a secret though.  In fact, it's so not a secret that my husband doesn't even call the paper by its name anymore, he just calls it "Crampton" as in "Do you want me to pick up a Crampton?"  [smiley=blush.gif]

Philip Glenister is mine.  I actually had a naughty dream about him once  [smiley=blush.gif]

All of those actors are great, but my secret crush is a Brit guy that I met right here on UK-Y.

It's funny that this thread has had a revival, as it's rather special to me. I'm quoting myself because I met my own secret crush on this forum. Needless to say, the secret's out and we've fallen deeply in love [smiley=love.gif].
We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the earth. Our government has no power except that granted to it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.

I have a major thing for Dylan Moran. It is quite lucky that my husband is practically his twin :D

We saw him live in February and realising he was much taller than I expected made me fancy him that much more  ;D

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Jonathan Ross. Not so much for looks, but his personality makes him pretty cute, IMO. I like the lisp.  :P

Jewlz, sorry to go off topic but I have a nice story:

I met Jonathan Ross and he was indeed a really nice man! It was only for several minutes but you can tell. It was 1988 and I was working in an art supplies shop in London's West End. We often got celebs in there because of the central London location.

One day I turned around and Jonathan Ross and another guy were looking at the drawing pads. I leapt upon the chance to do my customer service bit, asked if they needed help in finding anything, and spent the mext ten or fifteen minutes helping them choose a bizarre range of products for a couple of grown men...coloring crayons and a huge drawing pad being amongst the purchases! The other guy was some sort of assistant studio floor manager or something, and they explained that they were going to use the things as a "bit" on Jonathan's then-talk show that he had (based on the David Letterman model of show). At that time everyone watched the show as it was new and Ross was a newly minted celeb, our own British "Letterman" we thought (!).

They were both really nice to me even though I was but a lowly shopgirl,  :P commented on what a great shop this must be to work in, it was a very pleasant ten minutes I spent. Ross came across as very genuine, nice, gracious and down to earth. (I guess just the fact that he was out picking his own props for the show, goes to show.)

Edited to add:

I watched the show later that week, and they did indeed use "my" drawing pad and crayons to do some funny little bit in the show -- I was jumping up and down on my couch yelling "I sold them that stuff!!"  ;D

That ginger bloke who plays the new surgeon on Grey's Anatomy.  He played Tommy in Trainspotting and he was in Dog Soldiers, too.

He's just as tasty a specimen of Scotsman as they come.
