Topic: I have filed for divorce in the US and am waiting for decree....  (Read 462 times)

I have filed in the US for divorce and am only waiting for the final paperwork.  I was told that I could still apply for my fiance visa which I did....has anyone ever been denyed because of this?

This is fine, as long as you have a letter from the court or your solicitor confirming that the decree absolute will be issued within six months of the visa approval.

Thanks Vicky!  I put a paper in my evidence packet that had the court number and everything on the top it was a form to not appear in court becaue nothing is being contested...so hope thats enough or at least hope they will ask me about and not stamp denied  :\\\'(
