Thank you for your candor, garry.  I've talked it over with my husband.  Neither of us are thrilled with being separated, but since I know there are members here who have spent YEARS away from their partners and spouses, we'll just have to suck it up and be thankful it is only a couple weeks.

So I've had a look at the calendar, and it looks like he would have to leave early next week for this to be feasible, since there are restrictions on how late in my pregnancy I can fly.  If he leaves on Tuesday, Oct. 14 and arrives on Oct. 15, then let's say it takes him exactly 2 weeks to find a job to be safe.  That means on Oct. 29, he could get a letter from his new boss to fax or mail me for my application, and I could submit it the following day, Oct. 30.  That allows for exactly 20 days for my visa to be processed, although my son's and my flight is on November 19.  Do you think this is feasible?

We don't have any doubts that he could find a job and house within 2 weeks.  It's just cutting it pretty fine with processing times.  I'd definitely use overnight and a courier to be safe.  Does this sound like a good plan?  Would a letter from his new employer be sufficient, since he wouldn't have paystubs yet?

Wonderful.  "Breeze" is a word I like to hear!  Is there something I should know about my documents?  I intend to get a doc check, but if there's something specific that's sticking out to you, might you let me know so I can attempt to rectify/add/whatever to it in advance? :)

I was suggesting that because it still doesn't look quite right.
