Yay for mooshy (I much prefer that spelling, Chi!) stories.  Your story sounds like fate to me lily!!   Best of luck to both of you and welcome to our silly thread.  I pity you if you read through the whole thing. :)

I tried to go the same route (HSMP) and just when I found a job that earned enough money, I turned 28 and all of a sudden didnt have enough points.  Blech!

I am noticing a definite trend towards the North here.. why is everyone moving so darn far North!?!  Will Patty and I be the only ones in the South?

Oh and Beth - come to think of it.. how do they determine the Olympic hockey teams? There arent trials, per se, so is it done based on the previous year's world championships, maybe?  I dont know if I ever told you, I but I used to work for the Colorado Avalanche and was a MASSIVE hockey fan, but ever since they treated me terribly, I just havent been able to enjoy my hockey as much :(   I dont even really have a fav team anymore and that makes me sad.  But I LOVE Olympic hockey - such a different feel and so exciting!

there's a frog in the living room.

I've spent the past hour keeping the cat out of here so she doesn't hurt it before Tim gets home to catch it.

Welcome to the country?

Carey, I'm not sure how the teams are determined. It may be based on if your country wants you playing for them and asks?? I know how it's done for running (marathon trials, etc) so I assumed they had scrimmage/trials games?? And sorry about the Avs. If it makes you feel better, I don't like them either! And we beat them the other night! Woo! I think your new favorite team is the Thrashers (duh!!!!) ;D If you need motivation, just check out my Casino Night pics on facebook! lol

Hello, my loves!  How were your days today?  Glad tomorrow is Friday, I bet? :D

A random frog in the living room?  How odd, Becca...lol.  Buuutt....it DOES make me laugh.

Beth, I think of the curling scene in Help! when Carey brought it up.  "It's a thingie!  A fiendish thingie!"  lol  And don't forget, we need to figure out the whole London/Beatles thing for your trip. :)

Carey, I think you and I might be the only ones living in the South.  Oh well....atleast we won't be too far away from each other.  Hope a train and go to Chipotle in London together.  Hen night plans, btw...so far is just going out to the bars.  My friends are doing all the planning.....all I have to do is show up.

And Lily, just like Jamie said, welcome to our lovely little family.  I don't know how I would survive with all these ladies here.  And seriously, we hope you didn't read EVERY SINGLE POST...lol.

JOSY!!!  Dah'ling, we understand you're busy.  And we'll be here once you get to England and settled.  How long are you going to be there again?  Ohhhh...and when you're in England, the time difference will be cooler for you and I...lol.  We can web cam chat or something then? :P

Chi, have an AMAZING time in Vegas. :)

Oh...and news of the day.  Ian's older sister called the US Consulate in England today, and spoke to a woman about Ian going through passport control and how he's intending on getting married here to me, etc...and the lady said he should have no problem.  Sooo...she passed the info along to Ian and he's MUCH more relieved now than what he was yesterday.  Annnndd...he left me this silly photo comment on MySpace with these people putting their feet near a fire and he said "See....no cold feet!"

Alright, now that I've written a novel, I better go...lol.  Today was the longest day EVER I think, and tomorrow I have to go to the Dr. for a check up.

Happy Friday, ladies.  OH!  And my co-worker that fell and broke her leg is coming back next week, so I no longer have to work 3 weekends in a row.  YAY!

LOL I was afraid the flash would scare him, but I did try to take a video of it.

Tim came home at 6 and managed to catch him and now the frog is back outside where he belongs.  Apparently a neighbour has a pond, so Tim figures it wandered away from there....still no idea how it got into the house though.

A few weeks ago we had a snail in the house, thought not at all as exciting as a frog.

Yay Sugga - another one in the South (oh better be careful or I'll start another one of those dreaded North v. South threads!)

Patty - we are totally going to Chipotle in London, and Sugga can come with us... although now since David is in love with Chipotle also, he may have to come along.  Actually, no no, we'll leave him where he is and bring his food back to him :)  Isnt it supposed to be near Covent Garden? Or did I make that up because thats my dream place for it to be? :)

I have a strange obsession with slugs (I run to the back door every morning and look for them), but the frog story makes the slugs in David's garden seem not as fun anymore.  I want a frog back there!!  Ribbit.

Oh, me too.  Tim asked me to help him out in the garden and I warned him I've never had a garden before!

So much to YAY about today!  Its 5pm in England now, so I imagine Jamie and Alan are officially married!! How fantastic!

And how perfect for Josy - she thought she was going to have to say goodbye to Jason today and now shes leaving with him.

Three cheers for love conquering all  [smiley=love.gif]
