Thanks! 13 days to go and things really area falling into place.

We pinned up my dress last night so now on saturday we get to hem all 206" of it.  Yes, my dress is 206" around at the bottom. 

Oh! And Tim got to pickup the rings today! :D

So I finally have an update on the job front...the company who was interested in the phone interview contacted me today to schedule a phone interview for tomorrow! :)

Now I just need to re-familiarize myself with their company, and go over books/websites on best practices for interviews.

I bought my dress this weekend - Ok I love my dress as well - simpleish [smiley=heart.gif]



and the back is corset of course its not laced perfect since we were just trying it on



We are now renting a tent 20X30 and now we are at over 50 people from the 20 I thought! Good times! I am still excited ;-)

EQ- good luck on the interview! Wow! I suspect it won't be long till you're packing up and moving!

As for me, I'm excited because my boy (man!) gets here on Friday. It's been 3 months since I've seen him. We've only got a week, but it's packed full. Yay!

So...maybe not, after all. I was very clear in my cover letter about being in the US and planning to move in early 2010. Then, when the recruiters asked for a contact number, I gave them my (US) cell phone number, because that is the best way to reach me (I'm not always at a computer/on Skype).

Now, after I said that 12-1 EDT/4-5 GMT is the best time to contact me today, the person at the company is all surprised that I'm not in London.

So I re-clarified yet again, and now have to wait and see if that's a deal-breaker for them, even though I clearly stated all of this up-front 3+ weeks ago. Argh.


Beth - yay for visits! That's very exciting. :) You'll have to give us your how you met/started dating story. ;)

When does the position start? If it's not starting until January, I don't see why they wouldn't hire you...since you have your UK passport now it's not like they need to get a work permit for you!  Good luck!

It didn't say (though some listings do say "urgent", and I do avoid applying for them as I'm not quite ready to move over on a week's notice).

The guy did e-mail me saying that I should e-mail him a week before I head over (even though he already knows the date so that seems a bit redundant) to see if the position is still open. It feels like a brush-off, but I suppose I'll see what happens in 16 days when I send off that e-mail.

It may turn out that the best move is to just go over without a job and really hit the application thing hard once I'm there, but I'm a bit too risk-averse to be really thrilled with that idea.

Zoya - your dress is gorgeous! :)
