Yummy!!

I'll be bringing Velvetta back from my holiday so I can't wait to make my favourite mac 'n cheese!

Really stupid question (only because I have never tried to bring it back)
is Velveeta considered a dairy product by customs and therefore has to be brought back on the quiet...?
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

I've brought back Velveeta before, but I never declared it.  It's all packaged up & not even refrigerated as it's sold in the US.  It's a 'cheese product'.  ;D

 ???

(I don't much like it anymore, however.  After not eating it for so very long, it tasted extremely salty and other than that - tasteless.)

I didn't think Velveeta was actually cheese....I bet you could get away with taking it in your case! Since it doesn't need refridgerating you are good to go!

as a former *snif* bona fide velveeta consumer, you can take it, they wont take it off you.
but if you live without it long enough, you will unfortunately go off it. It will taste very odd when you finally have it again. The only way I am able to eat this now, it melted with salsa in it. Mac and cheese are kraft box all the way now. I cant face it plain on noodles.
such a sad day.... lol

DH bought that Old El Paso guacamole in the jar once while I was still in Texas, and said it tasted awful... he read the ingredients off, and the first ingredient in there is peas.   ::)  I wouldn't bother with that one, FYI....

HMM? I have had the old el paso guacamole and it was ok. didnt taste any peas.?
Bit on the spicy side but still ok. Not as great as if you make it yourself, but it would do in a pinch.

Well, DH had only had real guac once or twice before trying that, but he said it didn't taste right, then read the ingredients and it listed peas as the first ingredient.  He said it tasted ok, but didn't taste anything like guacamole.
???  I wouldn't be eager to try it....

I do use the mexican velveeta with rotel to make the down and dirty version of queso that my family used to make... but I am starting to think I need to find a recipe that uses real cheese, as I find I am starting to go off velveeta a bit...

I've also gone off ranch dressing completely (have replaced it with either salad cream or brown sauce), and barely ever drink iced tea anymore, which is pretty shocking...  :o

You haven't been here long enough to go off ranch dressing! ;)

Plus, to replace it with salad cream is just WRONG!

Yes
But it's different--I think the UK stuff is made in Belgium or something. And they don't put sugar in the salsa in the US. :P

Old El Paso stuff isn't too bad there, but here I find it a bit scary.
