Can we get forum preview modification?

Every forum I visit with the exception of this has a topic preview. You know when you hover your mouse over the topic it gives you the first sentence or two. I find this extremely helpful, I can simply preview the forum and see if its what I want to read (since title's don't always tell everything) and even makes me want to visit that forum more.

Is there anyway we can implement this to UK Yankee?

I second this request! I find myself trying to check threads all the time, then remember that it doesn't work here. It is extremely helpful!

Having a "go to first unread" within a thread would be great, too, while we're asking for stuff!

we do have a "go to first unread"- just click on the blue new circle next to a thread title.

Hey! I *never* knew that! I didn't even ever try to click on it. I just thought it was telling me that there were new posts in that thread! Cool! I'm clicking on every thread now just so I can click on the new thingy! Thanks, springhaze!

Leah runs this forum single-handedly as a volunteer effort in her spare time - which she has very little of, as she's a very busy person!  I'm sure she'll take note of this suggestion, but please don't expect an immediate response or implementation.

Jim, the "new" tag next to threads in the list when they have new posts. I didn't know what she meant at first either....
