What did you dream of last night?
« on: December 02, 2008, 03:12:24 PM »
Just thought I would start this up for fun... I don't know how many of you remember your dreams, but I usually at least remember what I was dreaming of just before I woke up.

Last night, I dreamt I was eating in a very high-end restaurant, with all real Mexican food... mole enchiladas, caldo de res, barbacoa tacos, and tres leches cake for dessert.... the torture!!!  And I was with an old friend I haven't seen in about 5 years....
And yes, I do dream about food a lot....  :P

The night before that (just to make it more interesting) I dreamt I was in a car with several black cats who were nibbling on me.....  ???

Awesome thread!  I have been learning about dream analysis, so this could be fun!

Last night, I dreamt that my BF gave me a few presents for Christmas that were wrapped horribly with duct tape and stuff  ??? but one that wasnt wrapped at all was in a small box with something about platinum written on it and the price tag (something like 20000 pounds!) So I got all excited thinking it was an engagement ring, and peeked in the box and it was huge gold earrings... I dont wear earrings and I hate yellow gold.

Not a tough one to analyze, thats for sure :)

A vivid, awful nightmare that we'd rented a flat and it was horribly haunted.

Do you step on the bathroom scales when you get up in the morning. ;)

I try not to!  My favorite dreams are when I am eating a giant "cartoon-size" stack of pancakes like Donald Duck in Jack and the Beanstalk....  ;D  But I haven't had that one in a while.....

That other thread was great.... too bad I never saw it when it was going.  I didn't remember my dream this rmorning, which is kind of strange for me....

I dreamed of a Butterfinger candy bar.   :)
I've never seen them in the UK, I wonder if there is something similar here.

The Cadbury Crunch bars (I think that is what they are called) have crispy honeycomb inside, so they are remotely similar... well really, they aren't.  There is nothing like a Butterfinger bar here in UK that I know of, and I have tried loads of chocolate!  The Brits don't seem to understand the peanut butter obsession they way we do....  :P  I'd love a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.... there was a kid who had some of the mini ones (and she thought they were gross) and some Hershey's kisses, but she said she got them from someone else and I never found out where they came from.  *sigh*

Sweets from heaven has them, if they have one near you.

I dreamt that DH was trying to choke anyone who talked to me.  Strange, since he isn't possessive at all.  But I had a controlling ex-boyfriend, so maybe that explains it.
I also dreamt my grandma was holding a turtle hostage for some reason, and I was really upset about it and lobbying for his freedom.   ???

I dreamt my sister was pregnant with sextuplets.  Identical sextuplets.  She had to decide whether to keep them all, and told me to tell everyone in the family about it because she wasn't up to the reactions.  Plus, her husband doesn't want more kids (she's his second wife and their son is young enough to be his eldest daughter's child).  So I was all happy and concerned and stressed.  When I woke I had one of those moments where I couldn't tell if I dreamt it or if it was real.

In reality, my sister is undergoing a serious medical treatment that might kill her, but her MS is so resistant to treatment at this point that she had to decide whether to risk it or not, so that is probably the place from where the medical aspect comes, and me being involved is probably my guilt about being so far away from her even before moving to the UK.

I had a rather unsettling dream a couple of weeks (or so) ago.  It was like I was back attending university and I was attending a house party somewhere.  I was walking toward the toilet, for which the door was along a corner (inside) of the house - with a closet on the adjacent wall.  I mistakenly opened the door to the closet first, and who should pop out of there but a NAKED BORIS JOHNSON!  :o  He promptly ran out of the closet (still nekkid) and into the toilet, and slammed the door shut.

I'm fearful of how my mind works.  :-\\\\

DH had a dream awhile back that he was in Ethiopia (I was there in the dream too...his parents have been to Ethiopia in real life & I think he'd been watching the show about Ethiopia that was on TV awhile back).  He was learning 'the language' (ha ha - there are many languages spoken in Ethiopia but nevermind - this was a dream) seemingly effortlessly...  I forget what the 'words' meant that he told me about when he woke up - but 'geti' was a word for one thing, and 'serengeti' was a word for a particular type of that thing.  Very silly.  :P

I had a bizarre dream two nights ago where I was sitting in the lap of my hubby's best friend (not attracted to him in real life or in the dream!) and I asked him if I smelled and he said that yes, I did smell.  :-\\\\

:D  That's kind of funny, actually.

I don't remember last night's dream, but the dream before that was about a friend of mine from the states. She was talking about moving to Aberdeen with her fiance (who I think is a scumbag) and I was trying to convince her not to, saying she would hate the weather, and that she shouldn't be marrying this guy anyway (which I have told her before). Oddly enough, I once I woke up, I realized it was her birthday, so maybe that's why I dreamt about her?  ???
But her wedding is coming up, too, later this month, and I wholeheartedly disapprove because he has cheated on her several times before they were even engaged, but it's her life!  >:(
I guess I'm still not over her bad decision.

Do you ever look up your dreams at http://www.dreammoods.com? I've found a lot of good stuff on that sight when trying to interpret my dreams.
