We had a big discussion somewhere on here Chris about this very topic.  It doesn't apply to Americans, since we aren't entering under a visa waiver, and there is a provision if you need to travel and it is an emergency, i.e. less than 72 hours.

This is great but I was pointing it out for anyone like myself and my family who may have missed the talks about this issue, as it is now a requirement.

But I have to say my wife preferred this as filling in forms on the flight is not great and at least its one less thing to worry about before landing with 4 kids ect.

But it does apply to our spouses, yes? And a lot of us have the visa board blocked, so I don't think it's a bad idea to sticky this in travel/transport....  :)

Sorry, I had no idea people have the visa board blocked.  Your airline/travel agent directs you to fill in the online form.

you still have to fill in the waiver cards on the plane (the green one and the white one) i went to california on the 8th of Jan and also entered me details on that website and still had to fill in the wavier cards on the plane.

while i was in the que at the boder controll in LAX some asked why we still had to fill in the papers as we have done in online, his reply was, if they answerd no to any of the question then it would tell them right away they would not be able to enter the states instead of waiting to get there just to be told you can not enter into the states and shipped back home.
me lass is applying

my fiancee was here last month and did the online application. The day he got back home, though, he lost his passport. Would he have to reapply with a new passport number?
