IKEA!

Our landlords have an IKEA sofa and it is the bomb.  It's very beautiful and comfortable.

I've also seen some lovely ones in the M&S catalogue.

My mom offered to buy us a couch once we move and we're going IKEA all the way.

IKEA!  My sister-in-law has had an Ektorp sofa for the last 9 years and it's still going strong.  She likes the fact that you can swap covers easily and they are washable.
