Today was a fabulous "Cider With Rosie" kind of day, with an hour spent reading in the sunshine surrounded by bees buzzing on the overgrown tangle of wildflowers in my garden.

That sounds lovely!  :D

It's going to be another nice walk home  ;D - a contrast from last week where I was drenched, even with an umbrella. Gross.  :-\\\\

Went for a walk in the park with the visitors from London and saw chickens, a horse, loads of dogs and ducks. Oh, and baby ducks!  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Continued scrubbing for 4 more hours. My house is spotless!  And then went for a 4 mile hike, which is pretty good, it ascends 300 meters over 2 miles.  Awesome monument at the top and even more awesome views.   :)

I hung the tent stuff out on the line to dry out so I could put it away.

My son went for a run and brought back big handfuls of blackberries from the hedgerow to have with our ice cream.  :)

We went for a four mile walk, then afterwards - sat out in the garden drinking beer (DH) and cider (me).  8)

Was soooooooooo gorgeous today, as the last few days!!! Been most impressed with the weather the past few days!!

So.... J and I went to the Highland Wildlife Park and then to see the Working Sheep Dogs Exhibit on Leault Farm. There were 7 border collie puppies only a few weeks old and they were beyond gorgeous.   :) :)

I <3 border collies!  ;D

It was nice here as well (a bit cloudy here & there, but warm).  We went for a 5 mile walk around Eccup Reservoir - not too far away from our home.  DH got a good look at a Red Kite with his binoculars.  :)

Yesterday was beautiful!  :) We went to the Frampton Show and it was so fun petting all the animals, watching the rings, etc.  This year's highlight for my kids was holding ferrets at the end of the ferret races.  We go to this country fair every year.  It always falls on a Sunday after school starts in Sept, always seems to have warm sunny weather, and always signals the end of summer to me.  No!  Summer don't go!

Today was gorgeous!  The first day of autumn, but it felt like summer!  I had coffee with sarahjoyhappy and checked out her new place--nice!  Then we took the bus together into town (she had a class) as I needed to do an errand.  Even put laundry out on the line to dry today and I thought those days were gone for the season!

It was so beautiful yesterday, we took a long drive around the Scottish Borders and the scenery was amazing! Walked around St Abbs Harbour, which was gorgeous, then drove to Jedburgh and saw Jedburgh Abbey and Mary Queen of Scots House and came back through the Northumberland National Park with stunning views of the Kielder Forest.

Monday was unbelievably sunny and warm up here... spent the day at Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle walking around in the sunshine with a vest on!  :o Looks like the sun may be popping its head out today, too, and I hope its nice as we are heading off to Earl Grey's tea house and gardens today.  :)

Sounds like a lovely time Jewlz  :) :) :) :)  That's great!!

I'm jealous of all you folks with sunny weather- its been pants up here- just been pissing it down for well over a week now- some breaks- but it's been bleak

Its kinda warm today (currently 13 C/55 F getting all the way up to 17!)  so that's a plus  :)
