Today it was sunny so...
« on: February 20, 2009, 08:43:21 PM »
This is a thread to say how you took advantage of the good weather.  I realize not everyone will have had sun today, but I'm operating on the assumption that wherever you live in the world, eventually you'll have a good weather day to comment on.  And yes, I'll accept "not raining" as being "sunny".  ;)

So I'll start -

Today it was sunny so...my daughter went barefoot!  :o  Two hours outdoors with no shoes.  :)

Today wasn't sunny, but yesterday was sunny, so we went to Loch Katrine with the boys for a long walk and a picnic. :)

Today was sunny...but as I live in Florida I take it for granted and didn't do anything different!

Although I *really* wanted to lay out by the pool. Maybe tomorrow!

It wasn't sunny here in Yorkshire, but it wasn't raining either.  My hubby and I went for a walk up on Ilkley moor and visited the Twelve Apostles stone circle.

I went for a nice walk with DD - she slept for 2 1/2 hours!   :)

It was sunny and beautiful here in Northern California with an afternoon high of around 63 degrees in my town. The fields are blooming with yellow mustard and cherry blossoms are everywhere. Spring is just around the corner and my hope is to have a few more good rain storms so that we don't burn up again this summer from drought and wildfires.
We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the earth. Our government has no power except that granted to it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.

Heh. I could have written your post. It's on 11C here in St Pete, so no laying by the pool for me!

I threw open my windows and put on a fleece (cuz it's colder than it looks  ;D ) but I'm not complaining!  It's dazzlingly bright.

I have to get cracking on my paper, so I'm sitting on the couch, listening to the sounds and smelling the smells of my neighborhood for the first time.

Some one has lit the barbeque.  Makes me want a burger and some keg beer.  Apparently my double pane windows obviously do a GREAT job of keeping out the noise.  Some guy across the street is practicing electric guitar.  Thank the LORD I do not live any closer and for double glazing!!

I cleaned my house - we have friends coming over tonight so sun or no sun it had to be done.  :-\\\\ BUT I was able to open the windows and give the house a proper airing - something I haven't done in AGES.  :D

...I opened my windows a bit to get some fresh air.

Thankfully, today was sunny (or at least not raining) so when my cats escaped while I was making lunch and I had to spend the next hour chasing one of them around the neighbourhood in my pjs and crazy bed hair (seeing no less than six people who frequent the library where I work, since I live four minutes' walk from it), at least I wasn't doing so in the rain. :P

Here in Swansea it was mostly sunny and we went to visit the inlaws.  Could not help but notice the crocus blooming all around and the daffodils are coming out.  I love all the color just starting to peek out.

I went to the park and played basketball with the neighborhood boys.  A thirteen-year-old ended my long standing winning streak at HORSE. Rats!  ;D
