She was married and has a large extended family both here and in the US. I can see when faster would be better, but she didn't even have a chance to fight it.  :-\\\\
True. Usually the prognosis for leukemia is fairly hopeful. So that is even sadder.

The daughter of one of DH's colleagues tried to commit suicide. Fortunately her mother was home and got to her in time.

BostonDiner, that's so sad to hear.  I hope she gets the help she needs to get through what's troubling her so badly.  At least her mother got to her in time.
