UK - The Equals - "Baby Come Back"

US - Hugh Masekela - "Grazing in the Grass"

 ??? I don't know either of these

Ooh, I love Grazing in the Grass.  It's a great instrumental piece.  Another Billboard top 10 hit from that year was The Horse, also a swingin' instrumental! :)

US:  "The Long and Winding Road/ For You Blue" by The Beatles

UK: The Number 1 single was: Mungo Jerry - "In The Summertime"
The Number 1 album was: Simon & Garfunkel - "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

Interesting that the number one song in the US was by a UK group and the number one album in the UK was by a US duo.

In any case, it means I am OLD! ... and a child of the 70s  O0

Pato Banton and UB40 covered Baby Come Back in 1994 - . Their version was one of my favourite songs when I was younger (it's even on my mp3 player right now)... I actually had no idea it was a cover until I read this thread :P!

Ha ha. This is brill.

UK: Michael Jackson - "One Day In Your Life"

I've never heard that one before.

US: Kim Carnes - "Bette Davis Eyes"

I like that one.

I have to admit, it's sort of fun trying to guess all your ages by the song.
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

This is funny, just think about what they will be saying when the kids look them up in 30 years.
Haikus are easy.
But sometimes they don't make sense.
