Anyone here have matching or related tattoos with their SO? DF and I are tattooed and I was wondering if there are others here that are heavily tattooed or into tats as well.

I'm not heavily tattooed, tho I'd like to be. I have four... ankle, shoulder, low back and sternum. BF has one on his thigh. I'd love to get a full sleeve, but I'm not sure it's in the cards for me.

I have a large tat on my upper arm, a small one on my wrist, and an old, ugly one on my stomach that I would like to have covered, but have no idea what would cover it without looking equally ugly!  :P

DH has a big tat on his calf. One day I noticed that part of it was a cover-up and I asked what it had said before. Apparently his ex-girlfriend's name from way-back-when was Julie and he had their names and "love forever" or something like that on it, but was embarrassed to have to tell me. I just laughed and told him he didn't need to cover it up since he married a Julie anyway...  :P (Actually, my name is Julia, but all my family and friends in the states call me Julie) It was kind of funny at the time.

We have talked about getting a matching tattoo, or something with special significance for us (I would like to get a stargazer lily on my shoulder because that was the first flower he sent me, and also our wedding flower, and he would like to get something different) but I think we are steering clear of names, it just seems like bad luck for some reason. One thing we were considering was getting the Second Life logo tattooed on (or some artistic variation of it) because that is how we originally met.  :) Would be pretty cool, me thinks.

I have a large design on my right upper arm, and small ones on left wrist, left shoulder, left thigh and right ankle.  Dan has two on his upper left arm and one on his left shoulder.

I'd like some kind of, if not matching then at least complementary tattoos done, but I'm nto sure what.  I wanted to get wedding rings tattooed when we got engaged but apparantly it's too Tommy & Pammy Anderson Lee and naff  ::)

I have never had the urge to get a tattoo myself, but I do appreciate the designs of them.

I have the Tattooist who did the Tattoos for Brad Pitt in Snatch work in the building behind me.  :)

DH has a few, but I'm not too keen on needles..  He wants a couple more, but probably having to do with the kids.  If we had megabucks, he'd like a portrait of each child.

I'm so glad to meet others as into tats as us. We use Wez and Jay Jay at "Blood Brothers" in London but I'd love to hear where everyone else goes. When I (hopefully) arrive on the 25th we actually have apts set up to get semi matching tattoos related to one another. I'll post pics when they are done.

Myself I only have my elbow to wrist, shoulders, and lip done. DF is covered and I can't even begin to guess how many he has.

Feel free to post and show me pics if you'd like. I love seeing everyones Ink  ;D

What does DH stand for?

SO= Significant Other?

I have two tattoos, one on each upper arm. Each one is one of my brother's names in japanese khanji lettering.

I don't think I'd like to get a matching tat with my love as it seems to be bad luck. I wouldn't mind doing something symbolic though I can't think of what.
Yes it is a bit overwhelming at times, but when I think of her it all becomes just small things for me to overcome.

I don't think it's bad luck. I think names are bad luck but not matching ones. Our new ideas don't match exactly either they just have the same idea behind them with slight variations. We do both have "1135" though. His is inside his lip mine is inside my left ring finger.

Inside his lip?!? Wow that must hurt? I like that idea of matching tats, I might look into that some day. :)

I don't have any tats (I'd never be able to decide on one, so I just don't have any at all) but my fiance Steve has five (one on each upper arm, one on each inner arm, and one on his shoulder). One of the tats on his upper arm has his kids names on it, which I think is kinda sweet--he said he didn't mind getting it done since he can never break up from his kids :)

He won't get one with my name on it, nor did he get one when he was married before to his ex-wife. I don't think he thinks it's bad luck, but he doesn't want something associated with me in case we break up, then he has a tattoo on him reminding him of bad memories that he can't afford to have lasered off :P

Actually lip is the least painful of all my tats. It's a weird sensation but not painful. I have my sons initials inside my lip and let me tell you my elbow was by far the worst pain.

I think you should for sure look into the matching ones if it's something that interests you. I looooove looking at my tat when I'm missing DF. That or I look at pics of his.

Have you seen the tats on the side of the palm next to the thumb that is a half heart? When the couple puts their hands together it forms a complete heart. I really like that one. :)

Wow I've never seen that. How super mushy, I love it. DF has his palms done on the pinky side. I want my hands done too but the ink falls out really fast. I'm gonna google the hearts one now though  ;)
